GeoPresence

Verify location.

In development

Version 1.0.0 pre-beta. Not public. Status board

What it is

Presence without surveillance.

GeoPresence turns “I was there” into evidence. A check-in layer that binds an identity, a place and a moment into a proof — with the anti-spoofing and privacy work done before anything is published.

How a check-in becomes proof

Challenge, capture, seal.

  1. ChallengeThe wallet signs a one-use challenge — fresh, expiring, never replayable.
  2. CaptureLocation is captured with its accuracy measured, not assumed.
  3. ValidateFreshness, accuracy bounds and cooldowns are enforced before acceptance.
  4. SplitRaw coordinates stay private; the public proof carries a map tile, a rounded region and salted hashes.
  5. PublishThe sealed proof joins the participant's verifiable history.
Why the split matters

Behind every record is a person (Law IV). A location history is one of the most sensitive things a system can hold, so the public proof never contains the exact coordinates. It carries a map tile (about 100 m across today), a region rounded to about 1 km, salted hashes of the coordinates and a confidence score. The precise reading stays in private storage, where it is needed for anti-cheat review — and nowhere else.

Where it stands

A working check-in layer, not yet public.

Built

  • Wallet-signed, one-use check-in challenges (Phantom and MetaMask)
  • GPS accuracy, freshness and cooldown validation
  • The privacy split: exact coordinates private; public proofs carry a ~100 m tile, a ~1 km region and salted hashes
  • Streaks, XP, badges and leaderboard-ready stats
  • Decision output in the shared Oxyon format

Usable today

Nothing public to use yet.

Experimental

Nothing experimental right now.

Next

  • A public beta
  • Coarser public location tiles (XYO World tile IDs)
  • Proofs anchored through the GeoProof path
