Race board.

Every block on XL1 sequence is a race between producers. This page shows how each producer's candidates reach the pool and which one the finalizer picks, measured from the public candidate pool and the finalized chain.

The rule that decides most blocks

The newest valid candidate wins, not the fastest

The mempool lists pending blocks newest first and the finalizer keeps that order when scores tie. In practice it decides right after the second valid candidate arrives.

One block at a time

Race waterfall

Time runs from the moment the opportunity opened: a heartbeat falling due, or the transaction appearing in the mempool. The hollow dot is when a producer started building (its signed timestamp). The solid dot is when its candidate reached the pool.

Where candidates land

Arrival slot and conversion

Share of valid candidates arriving 1st, 2nd, 3rd or later, and how often each slot turned into a win.

Our two nodes

Where our time goes

Median time from starting a candidate to it appearing in the pool, split using each node's own build log. Other producers are shown as totals.

Per producer

Reaction and submit speed

Bars span the 10th to 90th percentile, the dot is the median. Lower is faster. Signed timestamps come from each producer's own clock, so small offsets are clock skew.

Last 24 hours

Hourly win share

Share of each hour's blocks won. An even split across 8 producers is 12.5%. Single hours swing widely by chance.
