XL1 · About the data
How Oxyon observes XL1.
Nothing here comes from nowhere.
Every figure in the viewer carries a tag saying what kind of figure it is. This page says what each tag means, where the data comes from, how often it is read, and what it cannot tell you.
The five tags
Read the tag before the number.
Sources
What is read, and how often.
| Source | What it gives | Read | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
XYO's block filesblocks.<network>.xyo.space | Every block's signed witness: producer, hash, previous hash, timestamp, payloads, transactions | Sequence: every 5 s · Mainnet: every minute | Every block from the start of Oxyon's window onward |
XYO's chain headstate.<network>.xyo.space | The newest block | Same as above | The tip of the chain |
| Oxyon's race observer | The order candidate blocks arrived in, and which one won — which the chain itself does not keep | Pool every 0.5 s; published every 15 min | Sequence, as seen from one machine |
| Oxyon's producers xl1-status-data | Each producer's own status, rank, share and timings | Every 5 min | Oxyon's two Sequence producers |
Oxyon keeps the newest 10,000 blocks of each network. Anything older is a link to the official explorer, which holds the whole chain.
The path of a number
One reader for the chain, however many readers of this page.
- XL1Producers publish blocks; XYO serves them as static files.
- WatcherOne process per network reads each new block once, checks it names the previous block's hash, and stores it.
- FiguresPace, block time and producer shares are updated as each block arrives — never recomputed from scratch.
- This pageReceives each block over one live connection. Your browser never asks XYO for anything.
The watcher never contacts a producer. Producers exist to produce blocks; observing them must cost them nothing.
Who is who
Names, only with permission.
The chain records which address signed a block, and nothing about who holds it. A name appears here only when the operator has agreed to be named, or when the producer is Oxyon's own. The address is always shown beside the name, so a name can be checked rather than trusted. Every other producer appears by address.

Run a producer and want it named? Tell us in the community; we add a name only for the operator of that address.
Limits
What this cannot see.
- Blocks before the window. Totals labelled Observed count only what Oxyon has read. They are not lifetime figures.
- Losing candidates. The chain keeps the winning block only. Who else offered a block, and when, exists only because Oxyon's race observer watched — from one machine, so its arrival order includes that machine's position on the network.
- Clocks. Block times are the gaps between blocks' own timestamps, which producers stamp themselves.
- Outages. If XYO's files stop answering, the viewer says so and stops updating. It never fills a gap with a guess.
- Sequence is a test network. Its balances are not the traded XL1 asset. Mainnet is one tap away in the network switch.
